A+E Networks® Standardizes on WideOrbit, Becomes 100th Cable Network on WO Network

A+E streamlines sales and traffic operations of ten national cable television networks as WideOrbit surpasses milestone

SAN FRANCISCO, April 25, 2018— After a two-year discovery and implementation, A+E Networks has launched WideOrbit’s WO Network as the traffic and ad sales platform for its ten cable networks, including A&E®, Lifetime®, History®, Lifetime Movies®, FYI™, and VICELAND™.

With A+E’s switch to WO Network, WideOrbit now has more than 100 cable network properties live on its sales and traffic platform – the largest number of networks disclosed by any media business software company.

A+E’s selection of WideOrbit, the technology platform for media companies to connect audiences and ads everywhere, comes in part as a response to the changing media landscape. By streamlining its ad sales & traffic operations, invoicing and databases on the WO Network platform, A+E will be on a solid foundation to grow and better adjust to the needs of clients.

WO Network was the clear choice because it provides a solid product foundation that can evolve with our business,” said Ishit Vachhrajani, Senior Vice President & Chief Technology Officer at A+E Networks. “WideOrbit’s team exhibited the ability to get things done and stay flexible during the implementation process, which is what we’re looking for in a partnership.”

WO Network provides the A+E Networks’ Ad Sales team with a robust platform to plan, build, deliver and steward optimal media schedules for our clients in an ultra-efficient manner that has the flexibility to adapt to the ever-changing demands of the marketplace.  Furthermore, WideOrbit’s placer is best in breed and has extremely sophisticated functionality that maximizes the clearance of our advertisers’ schedules driving better results for A+E and our media partners,” said Michael Peretz, Executive Vice President, Ad Sales Revenue Management & Operations.

“It was an amazing collaboration between the A+E and WideOrbit teams in making this possible. This was truly a partnership and we are excited about the WO Network product and how it will help A+E move towards the future,“ said Jack Fong, Sr. Director at A+E Networks. “We congratulate everyone at WideOrbit on breaking the ‘100 network’ milestone.”
