Your Year‑End Maintenance Checklist
As the year comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to give your WO Automation for Radio system a quick tune‑up. At the top of your year‑end checklist is one of the most important steps you can take to protect your operation: confirming your Central Server database backup.
Check Your database Backup
By default, WO Automation for Radio creates a backup of the Central Server database in this directory:
..\WO\AFR\tools\ras-db-utils\bin\pgbackup
Most systems install the Central Server on the D: drive, but your station’s setup may vary.
If you don’t see a .BACKUP file in this directory, open CSBP.EXE to view any alternate backup paths your station may be using.
With your database backup confirmed, take a moment to run through the rest of your year‑end maintenance items.
- Check your data backups (external recommended)
- Purge contents from Adobe temp folders
- Purge old files from RS temp record folders
- Update default playlists
- Check UPS batteries (replace every 3 years)
- Run disk defrag/check disk (mechanical drives only)
- Replace CMOS battery after 3 years (with power supply still connected)
