WideOrbit Appoints Tim Swift as Chief Operating Officer

SAN FRANCISCO, February 4, 2020 WideOrbit, the media platform for connecting ads and audiences everywhere, announced that Tim Swift has been appointed to the role of Chief Operating Officer. Reporting to WideOrbit CEO Eric Mathewson, Tim will lead client-facing operations for WideOrbit’s enterprise solutions, including WO Traffic, WO Network, WO Streaming, WO Automation for Radio, WO Media Sales, and WO Payments.

Joining the company in 2018, Tim spent the previous 18 months as WideOrbit’s Vice President, Integrations, where he led initiatives to integrate the company’s software with other business systems critical to the media industry. Prior to WideOrbit, Tim served as Financial Controller and Director of Business Systems & Analytics at Bonneville International, where he gained valuable, first-hand experience with WideOrbit from a client’s perspective. He previously held positions as Chief Financial Officer at early-stage startup Montclair Technology, and as an Owner and Company Director of a financial advisory firm, serving high-value clients in his native Australia, before moving to the United States.

“Every change brings an opportunity to continue to improve and as COO, I look forward to helping WideOrbit be more open, to build upon what I believe is already the best, most collaborative client support experience in the business,” said Swift. “We have a unique opportunity to better leverage our internal resources, to enhance our team members’ experience, which in turn will allow us to be even better at supporting our clients.”

Eric Mathewson, WideOrbit Founder and CEO, said, “Coming to WideOrbit from Bonneville, Tim has a strong background in broadcasting, giving him a deep understanding of the industry from the client-side. That understanding gives Tim an invaluable perspective from which to spearhead change in our client-facing operations, helping us to extend WideOrbit’s legacy of superior client service.”
