WideOrbit at NAB 2026: WO Aurora Takes Center Stage

NAB Show 2026 was a big one for WideOrbit. From a live broadcast on the show floor to a Best of Show award, our team had an incredible few days in Las Vegas. We thoroughly enjoyed connecting with broadcasters, answering questions, and demonstrating what the future of radio automation looks like in practice.

Here’s a look at a few of the highlights.

Broadcasting Live From the Booth

We didn’t just talk about what WO Aurora can do; we let you see it in action. On Monday and Tuesday, April 20 and 21, Beasley Media Group’s KCYE(FM) 102.7 Coyote Country broadcast live from the WideOrbit booth, using WO Aurora to go on-air right from the show floor.

Shawn Stevens, midday host and program director of 102.7 Coyote Country, demonstrated WO Aurora’s Web Studio and Live Mic features in real time, going on the air with little more than a microphone, a laptop, and an internet connection. No extra hardware. No complex remote-broadcast setup. Just live radio. As Shawn said, “It’s like magic.”

It was exactly the kind of proof point that matters. Instead of a demo in a controlled environment, Coyote Country broadcast live at one of the industry’s biggest events. RedTech News captured the moment on video, with WideOrbit’s VP and Managing Director of Radio Automation, William “Dub” Irvin, walking through the platform’s capabilities live on the show floor.

Radio Office Hours, Live and In-Person

On Tuesday, April 21, we hosted a special edition of Radio Office Hours — our monthly tips and tricks series — live and in-person at our NAB booth. Hosts William “Dub” Irvin and Michelle King fielded questions from attendees, walked through WO Aurora’s features, and connected with broadcasters who are actively considering their next steps.

Whether you joined us in person or tuned in virtually, thank you for being part of the conversation. Radio Office Hours continues monthly — sign up for the next session.

WO Aurora Wins Best of Show at NAB 2026

We’re proud to share that WO Aurora received a Best of Show award at NAB 2026, recognized by Radio World for representing a new era in radio automation.

The award reflects what WO Aurora is designed to deliver:

  • The freedom to create, collaborate, and broadcast from anywhere
  • The flexibility of cloud, on-premises, or hybrid deployment
  • Capabilities that are genuinely new to the industry

From Web Studio’s browser-based interface to Live Mic’s no-extra-hardware-required remote broadcasting, WO Aurora gives broadcasters tools that work for the reality of modern radio.

Thank you to Radio World and the NAB Show for this honor. It means a great deal to our team.

An Evening to Remember

NAB wouldn’t be complete without a chance to connect away from the show floor. Our annual Cocktail Party at NAB brought together broadcasters, industry peers, and WideOrbit team members for an evening of great conversations and even better company.

A special thank you to our certified WideOrbit Connectors who co-sponsored the event this year:

  • AdCellerant: helping media companies, agencies, and brands worldwide to simplify digital marketing and maximize ROI.
  • Perficient: implementing AI-first solutions that break conventions and deliver outcomes that matter.
  • IRCODE: transforming television content into interactive, shoppable, and fully measurable experiences.

Your support made the night possible, and we’re grateful to collaborators who share our commitment to moving the industry forward.

Until Next Year

NAB 2026 reminded us why these moments matter. The conversations, the demos, the questions from broadcasters thinking critically about what’s next, that’s what drives us to keep building both for today and for the future.

If you missed us at NAB or want to see WO Aurora in action, we’d love to connect.
