WideOrbit to Manage Advertising Operations for Univision Communications Inc.
Top multimedia company serving Hispanic America consolidates Commercial Operations and Digital Audio Streaming operations on WideOrbit
SAN FRANCISCO, April 21, 2015 — WideOrbit Inc. the leading provider of advertising management software for media companies, announced that Univision Communications Inc. the leading media company serving Hispanic America, has selected its media management solutions to manage advertising and digital audio streaming operations across all of its properties. Univision will implement an integrated WideOrbit solution across its portfolio of national broadcast and cable networks, radio and television station groups. The adoption of WideOrbit means that business functions formerly run on multiple tools, including inventory management, billing and invoicing, and unit placement, will be consolidated onto a single comprehensive technology platform.
Univision will use WO Network, WideOrbit’s end-to-end solution for managing network ad sales and commercial operations, to manage sales and inventory at its national broadcast and cable networks; and WO Traffic, WideOrbit’s leading sales, traffic and billing solution, at its radio and television station groups. Univision’s radio stations will utilize the Digital Orders component of WO Traffic to manage digital advertising transactions along with WO Streaming to manage and monetize digital audio streams. Automated workflow between the systems captures digital delivery and performance data for consolidated invoicing and reporting within WO Traffic.
Univision has used WideOrbit products since 2013 to simplify and optimize its advertising operations. The broadcasting giant decided to consolidate its technology backbone on WideOrbit solutions because of its proven efficiency, agility and scalability for managing multiple properties, channels and media. Implementing WideOrbit across all of its television and radio properties enables Univision to manage ad operations across 17 radio and 21 television markets, 2 broadcast networks and 9 cable networks from a single platform and execute corporate-wide roll-up reporting from common data constructs.
