WideOrbit Focuses On Client Workflow and Cable Network Support with Latest Releases of WO Traffic
New Releases of WideOrbit's Leading Traffic Software Deliver More Than 600 New Feature Enhancements
Las Vegas, April 12, 2010 (NAB Show, Booth N5129) - WideOrbit Inc., the leading provider of business management software for media companies, today announced significant feature enhancements to its core WO Traffic software including bi-directional integration with dominant agency systems provider Donovan Data Systems and support for cable network operations.
WideOrbit's leading traffic, revenue management and billing software, WO Traffic, allows companies to manage multiple stations, channels and networks, as well as multiple mediums, including TV, radio, cable, digital display and mobile, all on a single system and database.
With the new 5.2 release, WO Traffic delivers bi-directional integration with Donovan's agency system via WO Central. This integration significantly streamlines buy and sell transactions between agencies and stations, eliminating redundant tasks and reducing costly discrepancies. Additional enhancements to WO Traffic 5.2 are focused on functionality to improve client station's day-to-day workflow, such as delivering access to full revision history of orders and providing the ability to easily transfer booked orders among account executives using effective dates. In total, more than 300 feature enhancements have been delivered in version 5.2.
"We are very happy to offer the first-ever integration between a station traffic system and Donovan's agency system," said Michael Ambrose, Product Manager for WO Traffic at WideOrbit. "And we're already witnessing greater efficiencies for our clients making use of this improved workflow." In tandem with the release of 5.2, WideOrbit is also releasing WO Traffic 6.0, initially targeted at Cable Network operations. WO Traffic 6.0 includes a new workflow for approval or rejection of commercial content, user-defined exclusion codes to display potential conflicts between commercial content and programming, as well as over 300 additional feature enhancements throughout the application. "With WO Traffic version 6.0, we are introducing a whole new suite of tools focused on the unique needs for Cable Network operations," said Eric R. Mathewson, Founder and CEO of WideOrbit. "Now Cable Network operators can take full advantage of all the flexible and dynamic scheduling, reporting and billing capabilities WO Traffic has to offer."
Both WO Traffic 5.2 and WO Traffic 6.0 are currently available and running in production at major Cable Network and station operations.
During the 2010 National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas, live demonstrations of WO Traffic can be seen at the WideOrbit booth N5129 in the North Hall. For more information or to schedule a demo, please visit www.WideOrbit.com/nab2010.
