Acquisition Advances Leadership Position and Expands North American Footprint
San Francisco, November 1, 2010 – WideOrbit Inc., the leading provider of business management software for media companies, today announced that it has acquired the Orion® Business System assets of privately held VCI Solutions, a leading provider of sales and traffic software solutions for the broadcast and cable industry. The acquisition strengthens WideOrbit’s leadership position and expands its presence in North America.

WideOrbit welcomes previous VCI clients including CNBC, MSNBC, Bravo, Univision, Galavision, Telelatino, Comcast Sports, BET, NY1, Hallmark Channel, WWE, Universal Sports Networks, NHL Network, Outdoor Channel, NECN, CTV- Canada, ReelzChannel, Altitude Sports, Freedom Communications, Granite Communications, Newport Television and more than 200 other high quality cable networks and TV stations to the WideOrbit family of customers.

As part of the transaction, WideOrbit will be opening another support office in Springfield, Massachusetts, home of the former headquarters of VCI Solutions.
Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
