Is there a way to have a type of generic alternate voice track that plays if the scheduled voice track is missing?
Yes this is possible. It is configured in the SS32 system. Alternate voice tracks will allow you to specify a generic voice track, specific to each hour of every day of the week. First, you must record your alternate voice tracks, and place them in a specific category, on the SS32 system. In SS32, go to Options\Configuration, and go the page for Alt VT. On the bottom right of the page, specify the category that contains the alternate voice tracks. Next, click on the grid for the appropriate time and day for each category, and input the ID number for the alternate voice track that you wish to be used for that hour. If you wish to use the same alternate voice track for multiple hours, you can input the id number, then press the Dup Last button. Now, each time you click into a different hour it will enter the last ID number entered. To activate this feature you must place a check next to Replace Missing VTs. Anytime that a scheduled voice track fails to be queued, either because of a missing file or end date, the system will substitute the alternate voice track for that hour.
