How to set up the Back Timer

There are two ways to do the Back Timer in the SS32. When you setup the Back Timer on the Misc-1 configuration page you have the option of placing a check mark in the the box labeled Single or leaving that box unchecked. If you leave the box unchecked the the Back Timer will simply count down to the next Hard Sync or Soft Sync (# or *) on the log. This works well if you only use # and/or * in the sync field once an hour and at the top of the hour. However, many people like to sync at various locations in the hour or at places other than the top of the hour. In this situation you will want to place a check in the Single check box on the Misc-1 configuration page. When doing this, the Back Timer will now count down to a "?" placed in the sync field of an event instead of a "#" or a "*". The only problem you may encounter with this is that the "?" does 'not' also function as a sync, so you have to place your sync on a different event.
