Maestro Enterprise Time / Syncing the Enterprise
In the Maestro configuration file, go to the Tab labeled "Time". In this tab define the "Master Time Server". This is a computer in your enterprise that is running either Minv Server software (Part of Maestro), or ACP (Audio Central Plus). Do not use UNC (\\) in computer name, and make sure the computer name is in all CAPS. This will serve as the unit that all Maestro units will Sync to for time. In addition to setting Master Time Server, the Time Tab of the configuration file also allows you to define a workstation that is allowed to "set" the time to the Master Time Server. This is a drop down list of existing Maestro workstations in your enterprise. Choose a workstation that has a reliable Satellite relay closure repeated at the same time each hour of the day (ex: Top Of Hour Relay). In the functions of that workstation define the relay and create a Set Clock action underneath that will Set Time to the specified relay closure (ex: Network provides relay at ??:59:50 each hour for legal ID. Modify Set Clock action to ??:59:50) User is presented with two choices for setting time: Server and Local Machine. Server should be used if setting time to ACP Server. Local Machine should be used if setting clock to that local unit, and that unit would then be defined as the Master Time Server. It should be noted that changes to the Time Tab on Maestro configuration require a restart to ACP and MinvServer Software
