How to setup the audio format on SCSI drive for Maestro?
The command line for formatting an audio drive is: FORMAT d: /FS:NTFS /Q /A:32K where d: is the drive letter of the new drive. The SCSI jumper ID should be set to bit 0 for Maxtor and IBM. Western Digital uses a different scheme and should be set to bit 1. You will need to run the NT.40 Disk Administrator to create the partition on the new drive, and assign it a drive letter. Go to Programs\Administrative Tools\Disk Admin, and choose "Extended Partition" after you have selected Free Space on the new drive. Then select Commit the Changes Now to proceed to Create Logical Drive. Make sure you assign a drive letter that you prefer for the new drive. Then exit Disk Administrator, and from a command prompt issue the format command listed above where d: is the new drive letter. You will want to create an Audio folder on the drive, and add the new drive and its audio folder to the Maestro.cfg for it to be used by Maestro.
