It all started in July 1999, with a singular vision that there was an opportunity to radically streamline and automate processes for media companies with new software systems and technology.
With this vision, WideOrbit was founded to develop and deliver business management software to help media companies dramatically improve their business operations and bottom line.
The approach was simple. Hire seasoned broadcasters to design the software that they always wished they had to run their business.
With an initial product design in hand, founder Eric Mathewson and the team met with key broadcast group executives in late 1999 and early 2000 to validate their approach.
The result was WideOrbit's flagship product, WO Traffic, the Media industry's most advanced traffic, revenue management and billing software.
