WideOrbit is looking for a dynamic Delphi Developers who can come in and hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment! Advertising infrastructure is a HOT area as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, eBay etc. are all focused on making advertising a core part of their business. We have 12 world class Delphi Developers and need another 12 excellent Developers ASAP to take advantage of immediate opportunities.

Job Description:

This is not just your average everyday Delphi job – we go beyond drag-n-drop and copy-paste. Our Delphi developers like working at WideOrbit because we have a very BIG, complex application with MAJOR media customers. This is Industrial Strength Programming - performance critical application development with a 3-tier, high-availability, high-volume, distributed architecture.
 
You'll be responsible for building everything from proof-of-concepts and usability prototypes to deployment-quality code. You should be comfortable with daily code submissions, delivering projects in short time frames, multi-tasking, handling interrupts, and interacting with a distributed team.


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Delphi, 5+ years required.
  • SQL, 3+ years required.
  • MS SQL Server Transact-SQL programming.
  • Experience with various third-party VCL components
    (e.g. DevExpress, RemObjects, TRichView).
  • Experience writing code for multi-threaded environments; both client UI and server framework.
  • Experience writing and optimizing SQL, for MSSQL Server, requiring a high degree of scalability and concurrency.
  • A good knowledge of Win32 API (events, synchronous and asynchronous messaging, inter-process rpc's), TCP/IP Protocols (HTTP, FTP), and REST.
  • Strong OO design skills; knowledge of Delphi Interfaces and its Object Model (especially the Component framework and persistency).
  • Good algorithmic skills and experience applying design patterns to both new and existing code.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness to thoroughly unit test and debug complex code that you, or others, may write.
  • Experience with other programming tools, languages and protocols a plus.
