Getting to Know Our People

WideOrbiters are a diverse group of individuals.

Each has a unique story about how they came to WideOrbit and what they did before joining our team.Regardless of our backgrounds, there's one thing we all have in common. We joined WideOrbit because we were attracted to the opportunity of being a part of growing company where we could utilize our talents and have a major impact on the broadcast and advertising industry.

Because WideOrbit values its employees, we have a very high retention rate. It's hard to pinpoint only one reason why everyone loves working here. So, we asked our employees how they feel about their work, what inspires them, and what they like about WideOrbit. The people you will meet in the spotlights below work in a variety of disciplines so you'll get a different perspective with each profile. The details are different but you'll find one thing that's very similar. We're all proud of what we do here; and we're all happy to be a part of WideOrbit.

What are your favorite languages to code in?

Right now, I'd say Delphi, C, Javascript, and Lisp.

What do you like most about what you do?

This is what I've been doing since I was 13. It's what I enjoy doing. I could get lost in writing code and solving a particular problem for days.

Why do you like working here?

I've been here since 2002. The company has grown a lot but we still have a small engineering team full of smart and productive people. We're task and results oriented. You have a lot of responsibility but creative freedom in getting things done.

What advice would you give to someone that interviews with us?

The biggest surprise for people is it takes a while to get context. You're expected to be self-motivated. You have to be independent but need to be a team player so talking about your ability to do both would be great. Engineering is results oriented so we want to know how you can deliver.
