WideOrbit grows Sales Team with the addition of Four Industry Veterans
(San Francisco, CA April 18, 2006) – WideOrbit Inc. is pleased to formally announce that Bunk Robinson and Jon Crossland, formerly of Wicks Broadcast Solutions, and Toni Coonce, formerly of Marketron International, have joined WideOrbit as Regional Sales Directors to help grow WideOrbit’s rapidly-emerging radio business. Maria Stokes of WideOrbit has also been promoted to the role of Regional Sales Director.
WideOrbit is a media software company focused on Traffic, Sales and Billing for the broadcast TV, Radio, Satellite and Cable industry. WideOrbit currently has more than 400 installations of its core WO Traffic software installed throughout the United States and Canada.
Together, Robinson and Crossland bring roughly 40 years of radio station experience and 30 years of radio software experience to the WideOrbit sales team. Robinson and Crossland will be joining Maria Stokes in spearheading WideOrbit’s Radio efforts, which to date have been tremendously successful with the early addition of Entercom Radio in Sacramento, Pacific Empire, and MBC Grand.
A 20 year broadcasting veteran, Maria Stokes joined WideOrbit in early 2002 after 11 years as Traffic Manager in San Francisco for both Clear Channel Radio and Infinity Radio. Maria has spent the last two years at WideOrbit as an Implementation Manager successfully contributing to WideOrbits massive growth during that time.
Toni Coonce joins WideOrbit from Marketron International, most recently selling their television and radio products after learning the ropes on installations and training. Prior to Marketron, Coonce worked at the station level as a Business Manager. Robinson, Crossland, Coonce and Stokes will report directly to Mike Zinsmeister, Director of Sales for WideOrbit. Zinsmeister is thrilled to grow his team: "WideOrbit strives to hire former broadcasters whenever possible, as they understand our clients’ business.
Toni, Maria, Bunk, and Jon are no exception to that rule. Each brings real station experience to the table, which uniquely qualifies them to respond to the needs of our clients". "For the past three years, WideOrbit has been the most successful traffic, sales, and billing solution in the television broadcast industry. By hiring Toni, Bunk, and Jon, we've positioned ourselves to continue that success rate in radio in the future. Their knowledge, experience, and professionalism blend perfectly with our existing sales team,” stated Bruce Roberts, President of WideOrbit. Zinsmeister also added, "The ability to articulate the advantages of WideOrbit over existing legacy traffic systems guarantees the success of these four professionals." Stop by WideOrbit’s Booth C-361 at NAB 2006 in Las Vegas to meet WideOrbit’s newest team members.
