(San Francisco, CA) May 9, 2004 –  WideOrbit Inc. is pleased to announce that its’ groundbreaking Traffic, Sales and Billing solution has been installed in more than 100 television stations and cable networks. Two years ago, in April 2002, WO Traffic was installed in four television stations.

There are now 103 stations and cable networks relying upon WideOrbit’s WO Traffic as their trusted, backbone financial management system. More than 30 television station groups have selected WideOrbit for either all or a portion of their television stations. These groups include (listed approximately in order of installation): Lilly Broadcasting, The New York Times, Entravision, Acme Communications, Midwest Television, Desert Television, The McGraw Hill Companies, New England Sports Network, Meredith Corporation, Liberty Corporation, Comcast Sports Southeast, University of Missouri, Wray Broadcasting, News-Press Gazette, California Music Channel, Thunder Bay Broadcasting, Journal Broadcast Group, Roberts Broadcasting, Daystar Television Network, Communications Corporation of America, Tribune, Larry H. Miller Group, Hearst-Argyle Television, Victoria Broadcasting, LeSea Broadcasting, New Vision Group and Shurz Communications.

During the past two years, 103 television stations and cable networks have installed WideOrbit that formerly operated competing traffic solutions. These include 79 stations that formerly operated traffic solutions offered by Encoda Systems, 17 that formerly operated traffic solutions offered by VCI (Video Communications, Inc.) and 1 station that formerly operated traffic solutions offered by OSI (Optimal Solutions Inc.) WideOrbit has also been installed in several start-up operations and a few manual systems. No station or network has ever pulled a system installed by WideOrbit. “More than 100 stations and cable networks have followed the lead of WENY-ABC-TV, WTKR-CBS-TV, XETV-FOX-TV, and KWBP-WB-TV that were installed prior to April 2002,” said Eric Mathewson, Founder and CEO of WideOrbit. Mathewson further stated,”It is a tremendous credit to the vision of our clients and the entire WideOrbit employee team that has installed 99 stations and cable networks in the past twenty-four months. It has been very rewarding to see the positive impact that WideOrbit has had on our client stations and users.” “Our early clients had the foresight and patience to help WideOrbit author and build the traffic, sales and billing system that is being installed today,” said Bruce Roberts, President of WideOrbit. “We are very encouraged by the enthusiastic comments by our WideOrbit Users and how our software is helping our clients make better decisions on how to operate and price their stations and networks.” WO Traffic provides broadcast television professionals with a patent pending inventory management and pricing tools as well as centralized reporting features. It has been demonstrated that WO Traffic helps stations decrease their operating costs, increase revenue, and improve station efficiency. WO Traffic includes such features as advertiser profiles, station blueprints, market blueprints, User friendly revenue reports, and accounting management Tools. These unique tools have been automated within the WideOrbit software offerings to provide sales and management personnel with real-time, market information, allowing them to make better sales decisions.
