WideOrbit’s WO Traffic version 4.0 allows broadcasters increased speed and feature enhancements over previous versions of WO Traffic. The speed of WO Traffic 4.0 is statistically more than 9 times faster in core workflow areas than previous versions of WO Traffic. The response from early users of WO Traffic 4.0 has been very enthusiastic. Deborah Frazier, Traffic Manager at WTKR-CBS-TV in Norfolk, Virginia stated: "WideOrbit has hit a grand-slam with 4.0. Overall speed in areas targeted, has been increased by more than 10x.” Frazier stated further, ”With the increased number of features, the maturity of the 4.0 WideOrbit product is decades beyond the short number of life years of the company.

Glennis Crowell, Traffic Manager at WLOX-ABC-TV in Biloxi, Mississippi stated: "We love the new enhancements and the much improved speed of WO Traffic 4.0. It's wonderful working with a company that puts client needs at the top of their priority list." Crowell further stated: "It is a pleasure talking with your customer support staff. It is such a change from what we experienced with our past Traffic system provider" Like previous versions of WO Traffic, broadcasters and cable networks can operate in a variety of architectures to maximize operational efficiencies. Broadcasters can operate hubs, centralize databases for real-time group reporting, operate duopolies without incremental traffic and support staffing, or efficiently operate a single, stand-alone broadcast station; all using WO Traffic 4.0. WO Traffic 4.0 also enables up to 99 HDTV channels, or cable channels, or remote feeds, per station on a group multi-station database.
WO Traffic provides broadcast television professionals with patent pending inventory management and pricing tools as well as centralized reporting features. It has been demonstrated that WO Traffic helps stations decrease their operating costs, increase revenue, and improve station efficiency. WO Traffic includes such features as advertiser profiles, station blueprints, market blueprints, user friendly revenue reports, and accounting management tools. These unique tools have been automated within the WideOrbit software offerings to provide sales and management personnel with real-time, market information, allowing them to make better sales decisions.
More than $2MM was invested in the upgrade of WO Traffic 4.0 in addition to more than $15MM that was previously invested in the core WO Traffic product. WideOrbit will continue to make similar investments on an on-going basis to keep WO Traffic the best traffic, sales and billing system available to broadcasters and cable networks. WideOrbit Founder and CEO, Eric Mathewson stated, “We are very pleased by our client response regarding WO Traffic’s most recent release. WideOrbit has always had an obsessive focus on the quality of the user experience with our products, which is being demonstrated by our 4.0 release.
